The money games are back Content slop generated endlessly. Electric grid built on AI hope. I saw Dotcom in 1999. Similar signals are here. And your power bill might be next. #EP 107
Declan, just brilliant. We are close to the top of the hype cycle. There is probably an upcycle to the potential crash. You might want to explore that, as well.
Hard to tell, and much of the bubble is about Generative AI, ChatGPT et al. That's only a part of the AI industry, and the ones plowing money into everything.
Interesting twist to me was that when Dotcom crashed, all those billions of dollars of fiber were dark for years, and they are lit up now, but it took a decade or so.
An AI Crash could crush a few Big Tech companies, and if it happens the whole stock market is gamed on the Big 7. So that's the impact.
But outside of that, AI in health and manufacturing - not the content play ChatGPT is - are doing things that will make this world so different in a few years, and I think in a good way.
The electric angle is definitely not being looked at, but that's the way of bubbles.
