Trump's AI Policy makes AI content fair game —following China's playbook while creators lose protection. Here's how to adapt when the rules change overnight and your work becomes fair game. EP #99
Thanks for the great thoughts Declan. You are the difference between what AI can help you with and what AI can do it's your experience that adds to that and that ultimately makes your opinions better informed. But you have to do the work.
Great points, the illusion that AI can replace you, makes many work at using AI to replace themselves....and leaves out their experience, the things that shift businesses and lives.
Part of why I think China is kicking everyone's butt in AI, they're solving problems, not trying to build a godlike superintelligence serving its masters. Delusions.
Great opinions we all have, the work is what clears out the opinions and make it live, active....human.
The messianic religious pitch of AI is all around the industry. Altman said when Meta poached a few employees that it's ok.
They were mercenaries. We are missionaries.
And it plays on human insecurities to a degree I haven't seen before.
Instead listen to Carl Sagan, and his inspiration to the movie Contact, when Ellie tries to explain her multi dimensional experience to a world trapped by fear...
"I was given something wonderful, something that changed me forever... A vision... of the universe, that tells us, undeniably, how tiny, and insignificant and how... rare, and precious we all are!
A vision that tells us that we belong to something that is greater than ourselves, that we are *not*, that none of us are alone!
I wish... I... could share that... I wish, that everyone, if only for one... moment, could feel... that awe, and humility, and hope. But... That continues to be my wish."

Just keeping it human (and humane).
Declan really makes us think! Are we making AI into a God? Don't we have intuition? Time to go within.

Mine as well.
